People have been sharing their personal memories, experiences and wisdom throughout history in the form of biographies and autobiographies, for example. Life writing can take many forms though, and among other things, it can serve as a means of:
- exploring the self and changing patterns of thinking
- celebrating milestones and achievements
- preserving one's legacy in their own words.
Writing prompts offer a way of getting started and you can find a list here. However, your loved one might feel overwhelmed by prompts, especially those from services that send them in frequent emails. Many of us simply prefer sharing our experiences with someone else rather than writing alone, and that's where I come in.
I can help you create a life, legacy or other written project during one or several online sessions or in-person meetings if you're local to the Chicagoland area. Together we'll decided how to publish and/or present your finished story or work.
